When the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft launches are you going to use a leveling guide to hit 80 as fast as possible?  Do you think using a leveling guide is cheating or taking away from the game.  My personal feeling about using leveling guides is that it destroys much of the fun involved with playing games like World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online, but for many it is just another part of the game.  I don’t think you can call it cheating as much of the learning process in playing online games revolves around working with groups to accomplish your goals, but it does make it tough for the beginners.  My bet is that leveling guides for Lich King will be just as popular as the original Warcraft profession and leveling guides have been.  Everyone will want to be the first person to hit level 80 so they can dominate in player vs player.  Before you buy a profession guide or Lich King leveling guide think about how much you’ll be missing by not experiencing the fun first hand.

Many people that get involved in playing MMORP games like World of Wacraft are often torn as to whether or not they should join a guild.  Part of playing MMORP games is the ability to join forces with people from all over the world to help you develop your character, complete quests and improve upon your gear.  Most MMORP games today are becoming more an more dependant upon cooperating with other to achieve the highest levels and ranks for your character.  My suggestion is if your brand new to playing MMORP take some time playing on your own until you feel comfortable you know the game well.  Many of the guilds especially in World of Warcraft require a certain amount of regular participation in guild events and some even have an interview process just to become a member.  There are definitely pros and cons to becoming a member of a guild in a MMORP.  You’ll run into all types of online game players in guilds, from the hard core no nonsense players to the casual social players.  I personally like guilds as it tend to make getting your characters leveled quicker, acquiring the best gear and completing difficult quests.  Either way you decide to go playing MMORP games should be enjoyable if not this type of gaming may not be for you.
